Afterschool Program

Serving Pre-K thru 6th grade (ages 4 to 12), the Center of Excellence is a licensed school-aged child-care program that operates out of Diven and Riverside Schools and the EOP Ernie Davis Family Center for Finn Academy Scholars. Busing is also available for Parley Coburn and Hendy Schools.

The program provides:

  • Academic Enhancement Opportunities

  • Prevention Education

  • Cultural Enrichment

  • Health & Fitness Activities

  • Recreation & Snacks

Fee Schedule
2023-2024

  • The program is $275.00 a month and $200.00 for 2nd child.

  • There is also a $30.00 one-time per family registration fee.

  • The monthly payment is due even if your child is absent or school is closed and for school holidays, to hold your child’s spot.

  • The payment is due by the 5th of each month.

  • Checks are payable to: EOP Center of Excellence.

  • A subsidy is available through Chemung County Child Care Council. Call (607-734-3941) for subsidy information and application.

  • Proof of income is required to attend the COE Program and is due at registration.
    (This is needed for our funders.)

  • The program runs from the time school is let out until 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.           

  • Homework Assistance – Homework time is scheduled daily when students arrive at the program and assistance is provided for one on one if needed.

  • Academic Enrichment- The program provides opportunities for the students to pursue their own areas of interest and strengths.

  • Health and Fitness- The program teaches self-care, promotes healthy eating, and daily recreation.

  • Arts and Culture-The program exposes the students to various cultures through reading, staff-prepared lesson plans, field trips, community volunteers, and events.
